Website Smackdown

It goes without saying that there are many things that go into making a website good. Along with this, there can be a list of things that make a website bad. In my case, I chose to do this Smackdown on MLB.com and MLBtraderumors.com. Both websites produce similar content and their main purpose is to discuss different news and speculation about Major League Baseball. While these websites have some similarities, it goes without saying that there is definitely some major differences that set the two apart.

With that being said, MLB.com is unquestionably the better website of the two. There are a lot of things that make this website good, but in my opinion, the overall design of the website separates it from others. Along with this, the content produced on this website is always phenomenal. It provides the reader with accurate and informative information. Also, this website allows for an personalized experience that allows the viewer to access information that they really want. Overall, the website is incredibly easy to navigate and there is also so many different things you can do.

In regards to MLBtraderumors.com, this website does not share many similar characteristics. The overall design of the website is quite poor. The majority of the screen is covered by bothersome advertisements and poor graphics. Along with this, the information on this website is not always the most accurate and is not necessarily news, but more speculation. On top of all this, the website is not that easy to navigate and it is not always easy to find the news you are searching for. It goes without saying that there is definitely many things that make one of these websites better than the other.

In my opinion, the networks you build can make or break your success. The chapter gives a great summary on the different types of networks there are. Whether it is for personal use, or for professional use, there is no denying that social media is something that can be used to build different networks. For example, I currently work at a car dealership and when the dealership is looking for a new employee, managers will use different resources such as Indeed and LinkedIn in order to find candidates and then will find the cand...
