Twitter is unquestionably an app that is used by the majority of people our age. It is truly a great tool for many different reasons. For the most part, everyone knows what Twitter is. For those who do not, essentially, Twitter is a social networking tool that allows people from all across the world to connect and discuss different topics that are occurring. It is extremely useful for helping people feel more connected to your day to day life. Along with this, it is great for small or large businesses due to the fact that it provides a close feeling of companionship with the customer.
In my particular desired field, I feel as if Twitter is almost a necessity. Being a finance major, I use Twitter for a multitude of different things. Mainly, I find that it is incredibly helpful to find up to the minute news of different topics that may affect the topics we are studying in class. In the future, if I take the route of being a Financial planner, this tool can help me connect with different clients. It goes without saying that social media can have a large impact on many different fields. The things in which Twitter can assist people in are absolutely endless.

ReplyDeleteI use Twitter every day and I think it is a great place to network. Being able to connect with people around the world can be really helpful in any field of work. As a business major I could use this app to listen to customers input about my business as well as connect with other companies.
Hi Peter, I love using twitter because I can follow my friends, family, and celebrities. I also use it as a way to keep track of the different things going on in the world. I think it’s a great way to connect with people who may share the same interests as you. It is also a good way for businesses to reach out to their clients and to use this platform as a way to advertise.

Hi Peter! I personally can say I have used twitter! I have a personal account on twitter that I use not only for my person use, but to also follow famous, political or businesses on. Though I do go on twitter mostly to see what memes or funny tweets are being posted! I do see the benefits of it other than my personal use!

ReplyDeleteI am very familiar with Twitter; I use it every day now especially since I started coaching football! I have found it has been a great way to connect with other coaches around both local and far away. It has also been an amazing tool to have to show how involved I am at the high school I currently am a substitute for because the athletic director is constantly tagging me in posts related to football which is awesome for other potential schools that are looking to hire me to see when they look at my social media.

ReplyDeleteI have been on Twitter for about the last 5 years. I used to use it everyday, but I personally find it hard to navigate. It is a good tool to use to help with networking. I can't see myself using it in the future. This might be good for marketing businesses.
Hi Peter! I use twitter daily, and see it as a great tool. The platform is huge, so its easy to gain exposure to a wide audience. It can also be great to establishing an online community and communicating with others. Overall, your app smack down is great, thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteTwitter is highly used in today’s world. Especially since our President and other corporate leaders use it to get their message across. It would make sense to learn how to use Twitter and how to keep up with it. Twitter is great for business because it connects the business with others that have similar interests. So if I sold cars, on Twitter I would be connecting with others that are interested in cars and who could potentially buy my product.
Twitter is a tool that I still haven’t used or didn’t sign up for. I know that our president uses this more than anyone that I know of and how trendy this tool is. But Twitter is a tool that I will never download due to personal beliefs on its affect to the users. But overall, great demo and thank you for sharing on how this can be useful in your Finance career.

I believe I can use twitter in my career because I can communicate with other teachers and also I can look up ideas for my classroom.

I also use it to stay up to date with celebrities that I follow or admire. Twitter is even used by our President of the United States. I like how easy it is to use and navigate around. ReplyDeleteI was very tentative to downloading Twitter when I first joined the community. It seemed very intimidating and hard to navigate. If anyone was having the same doubts as I was six years ago I would show them your presentation. You did a great job of highlighting the applications features and how it can be applicable in the workforce.
