Twitter is unquestionably an app that is used by the majority of people our age. It is truly a great tool for many different reasons. For the most part, everyone knows what Twitter is. For those who do not, essentially,  Twitter is a social networking tool that allows people from all across the world to connect and discuss different topics that are occurring. It is extremely useful for helping people feel more connected to your day to day life. Along with this, it is great for small or large businesses due to the fact that it provides a close feeling of companionship with the customer. In my particular desired field, I feel as if Twitter is almost a necessity. Being a finance major, I use Twitter for a multitude of different things. After reading Chapter 5 of the Connected Educator, I can truly say that I gained more of a prospective on using helpful tools. It goes without saying that the author goes into great detail and presents many interesting and informative points on using different tools in order to assist in learning different things. For instance, the authors go on to discuss the interesting idea of social bookmarks and talk about the many benefits that it presents. In essence, social bookmarking is basically a centralized online service that allows different users to add, annotate, edit, and share bookmarks of web documents. In my personal experience, being a finance major, I am always looking for more information about important topics I may be learning about in class.
